2026 Breeding Pen Information
A Rainbow Dozen includes a variety of eggs with unique markings.
We love having birds that lay heavy blooms and speckles on their eggs. We use roosters that carry heavy blooms & speckles as well. This will double the chance for heavy blooms and speckles in their offsprings genetics.
Our 2026 breeding pens include the following:
- Pen 1: Pure BCM Roo covering BCOE 3rd-6th generation, Dark Egg gene carrying Roo. *Eggs marked BCM/BCOE or xBCM
- Pen 2: Lavender Ameraucana hens with a LA Roo *Eggs marked LA
- Pen 3: Silverudds Blue Roo (tested double blue homozygous) over legbar hens, frizzled brown layer for F1 OE, Blue, black & splash silverudds blue hens *Eggs marked SRB, Friz xSRB or ICB for Ice Cream Bar = silverudd + legbar cross (working on speckled blue eggs in offspring)
- Pen 4: Splash Silverudds Blue Roo (tested double blue homozygous) covering brown layers, 1 BCM hen, multigenerational olive & frizzled blue layers. *Eggs marked xSRB, Friz xSRB
- Pen 5: Frizzled OE/EE Frizzle Blue gene carrying Roo covering a variety of brown, blue & olive layers for frizzled OE/EE (this pen will produce 50/50 large fowl frizzled birds that can be kept with other large fowl breeds) *Eggs marked Friz OE
- Pen 6: Mille Fluer D'uccle in blue and black spangling *Eggs marked MF
- Pen 7: Mille Fluer Satin these come from a nice breeder of Mille Fluer Satin where we are carrying on her genetics *Eggs marked MFS
- Pen 8: Gold and Blue Partridge Brahma Flock of hens covered by a Heritage Blue Partridge Brahma Roo *Eggs marked BR
- Pen 9: Pure Welsummer Roo from SOP lines that carries dark speckled egg genes, covering a variety of hens that are SOP, lay nice heavy speckles, blotches & sometimes pink/purple blooms *Eggs marked WS
